Happy Turkey Day!

This year I have this beautiful healthy 10 month old to be thankful for.  Last year on Thanksgiving day we packed up and moved from Atlanta to NC.  This year was much more relaxing and so fun to see Hudson trying his turkey and stuffing (with gravy of course) for the first time.  He is a big fan on Grandma's cooking for sure!  Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving with their families!

Can't believe that this was me this time last year 34 weeks pregnant!  It is just crazy how time flies and that now we have another family member at the Thanksgiving table.

Hudson patiently waiting for his Thanksgiving dinner.

It was really warm outside today so we hung out on the porch for awhile.

See those cute curls starting to pop up?  Love it.

First Night Away

Saturday night was the first night that Zach and I have both been away from Hudson for the night.  I wasn't worried because he was with my sister and mom but I really did miss him.  Zach and I went to good ole Johnson City, TN to celebrate one of my best friend's (Sarah) 30th birthday!  The party theme was "True Life, I am turning 30" so everyone had to dress as reality stars.  Well, during my shopping at Goodwill for a party outfit I came upon the perfect dress for Michelle Duggar (I actually love her so this was perfect).  So, much to Zach's dismay we went to the party dressed as Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. :)  We had a blast and so did Hudson.  I think he was pretty worn out from his weekend because he actually slept the whole night through on Sunday night.  Monday was my birthday so I said that sleeping all night must have been his sweet birthday present to me.

The Duggars.  It was a little scary how much I resembled her.  I couldn't look in the mirror most of the night.

My birthday cake from Zach and Hudson.  Can you tell Zach ran out of room at the bottom of the signature? :)  I also came home to some beautiful flowers.

Below are just a few random pictures from last week.  Since it is so dark when we get home now I haven't been able to take many pictures after school.  His hair has gotten so curly just over the past few days.  It may just be this warm weather but I hope the curly hair sticks around.  It is so cute.  Hopefully I can get some pictures of it over Thanksgiving.

Hmm..which Fleenor sister does Hudson look more like?  I think it is Aunt Bec Bec on the right. :)

Forget the Christmas Presents..

Just leave Hudson the box!  His Nana and Big Papa sent his birthday present early this year.  It has been unseasonably warm outside so we decided to give it to him a little early this year.  He won't know the difference. :)  Well he LOVES the wagon and he also has had lots of fun playing in the box that it came in.  He was a little hesitant to get in it at first but after he saw his dad do it he crawled right in.  He realized that he could close the "doors" and play peekaboo.  I will post some pictures of the actual wagon soon.

"No, Dad..you are too big for the box."

Peek-a-Boo!

Random but Hudson playing in the box reminded me of a this book.  Did anyone else love this book?  It was one of my favorites when I was little.  It is about a little girl that make all sorts of things with a refrigerator box.   I always thought it would be so cool but never seemed to have a big enough box.

We are in trouble when he learns how to say "outside"

First "School" Pictures

School pictures are always funny to look back on when you are older.  You can always laugh at your haircut, outfit you or your parents chose, and the awesome background they have that year.  This is why I was so glad that they took pictures at Hudson's daycare this year.  I sent a cute shirt for him to take pictures in but his Daddy forgot to tell the teachers to put it on him at picture time.   Oh well, they are still really cute.  He just looks like such a big boy.  Here are his first official school pictures at 9 months old.  Can't wait to see the years to come.

10 Months Old!

Hudson turned 10 months old on October, 27.  I am just now posting them because Hudson got Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease from daycare so he has been pretty miserable.  You know this child is not feeling well if he refuses food or milk!  If you aren't familiar with this lovely virus consider yourself lucky.  It causes bumps that blister on the hands and feet and inside the throat and mouth.  He was sweet and shared his germs with mom so now I have it too.  No fun. I really like his daycare but I hate him being sick.  Hudson is crawling really fast now and pulls up on everything.  He stood up on his own without holding anything for the first time on Friday. I am happy to say that he is now saying "Mama" consistently or at least is making that sound.  He may not know exactly what it means yet but I still love hearing it.  He is starting to understand more that his actions make us laugh so when we laugh at him for something he tries to do it again and again to keep us laughing.   He still Loves being outside.  I am dreading the winter because our outside time is going to be limited now that it gets dark so early.  At 10 months he is still not a great sleeper.  He fights harder than any child I have ever seen to stay awake.  He will physically shake his head back and forth with his eyes half closed to try to stay awake.  The only places that he naps well are in the bed with someone else or in the car seat.  Thank goodness he still likes the car seat most of the time.  He is becoming a handful already but he is a really sweet baby and I can already tell he is going to be pretty funny.
I can't believe this is the same chair that we took his new born pictures on.  He is so big! He weighed in at 23 pounds at the pediatrician's office last week.

He had really rosy cheeks this day...the next day he broke out in a rash :(

Still only 2 teeth but the top ones are poking through.

 Hudson and Grandma

He really just wanted to get out of the rocking chair.

 Over it

The Paci always makes it better.

 Standing up!

He tries to climb on anything taller than him.

 His skeleton legs for Halloween.

New Dance Moves - 10 months

Hudson broke out some new dance moves (the head bob) at daycare today.  His teachers said he was dancing all day.  He showed us his moves when Zach got out the guitar tonight.  It is kind of a long video and he only does his head bob a few times but it is totally worth it.  Poor guy has a rash that just popped up the other day so he is scratching in between dancing.  If you listen closely you can hear him singing again. :) Enjoy the show and the chunkiness of Hudson in just his diaper.
