Happy Valentine's Day

Well instead of celebrating Valentine's day going out and having treats poor Hudson had an early dinner and went to bed early because he had a fever and was acting pretty tired. He did get a chance to enjoy his Valentine's card from his Nana and Papa. I think he would have taken it to bed if we would have let him. Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's day.

Valentine's week last year Hudson had to stay in the Hospital for a few days with RSV.  Let's try to be healthy next year buddy! So thankful for my little Valentine. :)

Who Knew Eating a Pear Could Look So Cute?

He has recently realized that he can eat apples and pears like we do and he loves it! He randomly points at the fruit bowl and says "Apple" in attempts to get one. He also likes to call his Daddy "Zach" or "Ack" because he hears me calling him that. You can hear it in the video when he spots Zach walking by.

Party Time!

Hudson had so much fun at his friend Essie's 2nd birthday party today.  Essie had a bubble themed party and there were lots of kids to play with.  Unlike on his birthday, Hudson really enjoyed the cake and ice cream today.   It must be growing on him.  He was worn out and fell asleep as soon as we buckled him in the car seat on the way home. :)

Looking like a big boy in his overalls and his big boy shoes on.  I actually got him new shoes for daycare last week but since he wasn't feeling well I went without him and kind of guessed at the size based on other shoes that he has.  Well, I guessed wrong.  My mom and I took him to get measured on Saturday and turns out he is actually a 5 and 1/2.  Poor guy was walking around in a 4 and a half all week. :)

The ball pit was a hit.

Month Stickers

I just realized that I don't have any more month stickers to document Hudson growing each month.
:( They were so great because they forced me to make sure that I took pictures at a certain time each month.  He is now 13 months so I will have to figure out a way to keep the monthly pictures going.  I thought it would be fun to share all of the month pictures at one time.

This is a picture from this week out enjoying the beautiful weather.  So far Hudson has had rough start to every morning at daycare this week being dropped off in the one-year old class.  He has cried every morning as soon as they walk in the door. Thank God that Zach does the drop off because I probably would not make it to work.  The good news is that when I pick him up he isn't still crying.  The teachers say that he has his crying moments throughout the day which I think probably has something to do with the fact that he can't have his paci when ever he wants.  They say that he is doing better sitting in circle time and always stays at the table during meals and snack.  He has tried lots of new foods there and a few days has even thrown a fit because they wouldn't give him a third serving!  He is using his sippy cup like a pro at school but somehow forgets this skill when he gets home with mommy.  He is miraculously laying down on his mat after lunch and going to sleep for at least and hour and a half.  He is walking a lot more since he is now in a class full of walkers.  He is also trying to repeat almost anything we say (could be trouble).  His newest words are "Sock", "Shoe", "Becca", "I See", "Kitty Cat", "Moon", "bubble" and "Belly".   He has been particularly obsessed with other people's belly and belly button including his own this week.   I think he has also learned "Stop" at school because I was singing to him the other night and he kept putting his hand up and saying something that sounded like STOP!  Haha he must have been tired of my entertainment.  This week he has started trying to belly laugh in different funny ways to get us to laugh.  It is pretty cute to see all of the different laugh variations that he can come up with.

Look Who Slept On His Mat!

Hudson's teacher at school sent me this picture on Friday with a message saying that Hudson went to sleep all on his own on the mat at school and slept there for an hour!  Needless to say, I was shocked.  They said that he had a much better day in the new class on Friday.  Still had a few crying moments but  made it most of the day in the big room.  His teachers also informed me that during a class party that they were having for another child, Hudson took some Cheetos out of the teacher's hand and stuffed them in his mouth.  They said that he loved them so much that they couldn't help but give him more.  Oh well, so much for trying not to introduce junk food. :)  Although his day was better on Friday he did  spike a fever Friday night and it has continued into the weekend.  If it is not gone tomorrow then I guess we will be spending our Sunday at the doctor's office.  Poor guy.

Hudson woke up really early Friday morning and looked like he was ready for the weekend!  Look at this crazy hair.  We had a bad rain storm Thursday night and it looked like the humidity got to Hudson's hair.   There wasn't much I could do to contain it.

His new favorite toy. The flashlight.

This can't be good for his eyes. ;)

Aunt Bec Bec, Kate, Scott, and my mom all came to visit today.  Hudson was content with cuddling for a little while.  I think the fever is making him feel puny.

Hudson's First Daycare Craft

As promised they are moving Hudson over to the "big boy" room (one-year old) class whether I like it or not.  It is not official until next week but yesterday he spent most of the day (minus nap time) in that classroom and made his first real craft!  They made binoculars out of string and toilet paper rolls. Zach picked him that afternoon and said that he was so excited to show him his creation and kept getting Zach to look through it with him.   When he got home he played with it for awhile and showed me how it worked.  I tried to catch a little on video (see above) but he seemed more interested with watching the dogs play.  I posted some more recent cute videos of him on the you tube channel at www.youtube.com/mc3call

Today was a little rough in the big boy class because he is kind of used to doing whatever he wants in the infant room and they actually have planned lessons in this class so they kind of have to stay in a certain area and eat when all the other kids eat at the table.  They have also said no pacifiers in this class...I say, "Good luck with nap time!"   He came home pretty exhausted today because he didn't sleep all day and also has another cold.  (This feels like cold # 100 for him)  I am ready for healthier days!

Hudson is walking more each day and now can make it a few feet before falling.  It is a Very slow few feet in a Frankenstein manner but he is working on it.  He really likes pushing his push toys around and is getting really good at turning them to get where he wants to go.  He also really enjoys ramming them into the wall or any nearby resting dog. :)

My little heart breaker looking like such a big boy!
