First Beach Trip, Atlantic Beach, NC

My mom and I took Hudson to the beach this week.  He is a traveling baby for sure.  Hudson's first beach trip was to a beach that is very special to me because we have been visiting our friend Donna's beach house there since we were little.  Donna is like a second mom to the Fleenor children and now an honorary "great-grandma" to Hudson.    He loved the beach and loved sitting outside on the deck feeling the ocean breeze.  It was a nice break from the HOT weather that we have had here lately.  Obviously I took a lot of pictures to remember this occasion :)

He got smart and started lifting his legs every time a wave would come in.

 Hudson and his Grandma

Grandma, Donna, and Hudson....and they wonder why people think they are sisters!

 Love :)

He was just laughing and talking away in the next few pictures

Donna has a grandson who had lots of cool beach toys down there to play with.  He loved playing in the pool on the deck.

Hudson turned 7 months old while we were down there.  I forgot his onesie and sticker so we improvised with shells!  This was a difficult one to get with a wiggly baby like Hudson.  I will post more sticker pictures later this week.

We visited the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium.  He was interested in the fish and the otters but his favorite part seemed to be the gift shop full of bright colorful toys.  Typical! :)

 Shark Tank

 Crabby Hudson

Pretty good face for the shark hat

Donna bought Hudson this cute sailor hat so we could take some cute pictures of him on the beach.  He actually really liked playing in this bucket and even stood on his own in it for a few seconds.

 "Hi"

And this was when we knew it was bedtime. :)

Lake Norman Trip

Our Lake Norman trip is also known as our 1st annual "family" vacation because these ladies and their families are like family to me.  There were even t-shirts to celebrate the occasion.  :) We picked lake Norman because it was pretty centrally located between all of us and because our husbands love to fish.    It was close to 100 degrees most of the days we were there so we did a lot of playing in the air conditioning but we also got lots of lake time.  Having 5 kids in the house kept us entertained and lots of memories were made.    Here are some pics from the trip...

Cohen is soo close to walking on his own!

 Ben and his daddy

Audrey is eager to jump in and cool off

Ben must have found a snack on the deck

cute hubby and our cute baby

our tanning deck

I think he looks so much like a little man here

The babies were so busy and on different napping schedules that it was hard to get pictures of them together but here is a cute one of Cohen and Hudson.

Apparently the home owner of the house we rented is an avid hunter.  There were 12 deer heads mounted in the living room and this target sitting in the back yard.  If you know me, you know I didn't love this.

Hudson's sneaky look

Shape sorter or a hat?

Our trip to Zootastic...and yes we wore our matching t-shirts

 It was SO hot!

I love how his tongue is curled because he is laughing so hard.

Ben is not happy about wearing the girl's tutu and he is going to hate that we have this picture in a few years.

 Loving auntie Sarah's singing

Uncle Ron surprised us and came home for the night!

Just love his squishiness :)
