My Sweet Luke

All I prayed for was a healthy baby but God must have known that I also needed a baby that slept more than Hudson did.  So far, Luke has been a pretty mellow baby.  He is growing so fast and was around 9 lbs when I weighed him today.  Sadly, I have not had as much time to take lots of pictures of Luke but I did get a chance to snap a few while Hudson was napping the other day.  I see a little resemblance between Luke and Hudson but all of Luke's dark hair and chunkiness makes him look so much different than Hudson at this age.  Hudson is still excited to see Luke in the mornings and always wants to check on him when he cries but he is staring to get a little jealous when I have to feed Luke and I am definitely seeing some attention-getting behaviors during those times.  He also loves to run up to Luke when he is in a deep sleep and yell, "Wake-up baby Uke!"  Very helpful. :-/

He has some long toes!

Just love all of his dark hair.  I think he was born with a comb-over. hehe

Hudson loves to have his snack outside now and just talk about the leaves and the animals that he sees. I will be sad when the weather starts getting colder.

Working on the pumpkin with Daddy.

Awesome playhouse out of a box in the garage.

Not too thrilled about his first bath.

We have a sweet picture of Hudson in this same towel after his first bath.

This is the little outfit that Luke wore home.  We didn't get any pictures of it the day he came home because he peed all over it before we could get any!

His way of asking to hold Luke is to say, "Hudson hold it!"

After helping to feed Luke, Hudson said, "Hudson Hungry too!"  Imagine that. :)
Feeding the ducks at the park with Grandma and Becca.

His favorite lunchtime at the park with Aunt Becca.

I am suprised that he shared his food!

Feeding his little brother

This was from Zach's birthday dinner.  He didn't want to miss a bite of chocolate cake!

Pun-kins!

For obvious reasons I don't have too much time to write but just wanted to share what big brother Hudson has been up to.  He and I went to pick out a few pumpkins this week while my mom stayed at home with Luke. He was excited to pick them out but then got upset when we were going to actually pay for them and take them home.  He insisted that they stay where we found them.  Can you tell that he isn't a big fan of change?  We finally got home with a few and he had fun painting his pumpkin.  He picked out all of the colors that he wanted to use but of course it all looked brown by the time he was finished because he just painted over each color.

The finished product!  He only wanted to paint on one side of the pumpkin and said "no no mommy, Hudson do it" when I tried to turn it around so that he could paint the other sides.

We also celebrated Zach's birthday.  Hudson was so excited to have cake and ice cream.  He yelled "CAKE!" during the entire Happy Birthday song. :)

Daddy with his fellow October birthday buddy.  Dad 32, Luke 13 days old.

Keeping up with Hudson

Hudson has been spending lots of time with aunt Becca, Grandma, and daddy this week.  Thank goodness for them!  Luke might not be able to eat if Hudson didn't get to take a few field trips and be entertained.  Keeping up with a 21 month old is hard work.

 Lunch at the park

Ducks

Apparently Hudson was a little nervous that a goose was going to steal his lunch. :)

Hanging outside with Daddy.  Hudson chose to sit in his chair and say, "Hudson tired"  while Zach pulled some weeds.

 He loves his Daddy.

Looking like a Kardashian in Becca's shades.

Trying to hide from the paparazzi.

Got his lunch packed for a picnic with Becca at the park.

Painting with Daddy on his new easel.  This kept him busy for at least an hour!

Poor little Luke hasn't had as many pictures taken as Hudson did at his age.  There are just not enough arms to do it.  I am going to try to be better about this because he is already growing and changing so much.  He is still a little yellow from the jaundice but so far is a much calmer baby than Hudson was.  I have started seeing a few signs of reflux. :(  Hopefully he will grow out of that soon because I remember dealing with that with Hudson.  He weighed 7lbs 9 ounces at the pediatrician office today.
