21 months!

Hudson is officially 21 months old and is starting to act more like a 2 year old everyday!  I am officially too pregnant/large/tired to battle with him so we have had fun this week with Hudson trying to figure out how to push boundaries with mommy and get what he wants.  I must say that when he is sweet he is so sweet and polite and that makes up for the little time during the day that he is grumpy about not getting what he wants.

Uncle Ronnie came to visit us this week so Hudson has had fun hanging out with him and the rest of the family.
Hudson has learned how to apply deodorant thanks to Aunt Becca. :)  He has a random toy that he calls "deodent" and likes to demonstrate as seen in these two pictures.  Sorry for the blurry shots, trying to get them fast.

Someone got a little haircut today to celebrate being 21 months old.  I was not present for the haircut today and Hudson was much more well behaved than the last attempts.  Imagine that?! ;-)

 Cleaning Grandma's fridge

Hard to tell but he was trying to show Angel his muscles.

Hudson's favorite thing to watch is still The Wiggles.  He really loves the dancing and singing and loves to imitate their dances.  As with most things that he does I always seem to get the video camera too late.  In this video he was doing his favorite dance to the "dinosaur song"  For those that are not familiar with The Wiggles, there is a green dinosaur named Dorothy that is in many of their skits.  I think I still prefer this over Barney so hopefully he won't learn that there is a purple dinosaur anytime soon!

This is a video of Hudson getting his helicopter from Uncle Ron.  Initially, when we told him that he was getting a surprise from Uncle Ronnie, Hudson said, "MMMmmm Yummy Yummy."  Can you tell that he really loves his food?  He thinks all prizes or treats should be edible.  He did love the big remote control helicopter and also remembered from before that Angel loved it too.  (Angel actually hates it and tries to attack it but Hudson loves to watch her in action.)

First Trip to the Natural Science Center!

The weather here has been great in the mornings so my mom and I decided to take Hudson to the Natural Science center to see the animals that they have there.  This was his first trip (other than the aquarium) seeing real animals.  He loves to pretend that we are going to see animals on our walks at home but we rarely see anything other than a bird or butterfly.  Today he got to see meerkats, lemurs, monkeys, kangaroos, tigers, wolves, goats, sheep, alpaca, pigs, birds, turtles, alligators, fish, and dinosaurs!  He even sat through a 45 min interactive musical show about meerkats and seemed to have a great time.

I think he thought the huge dinosaur was cool but was a little nervous about the loud dinosaur noises that they had piped into the room.

We were there early so he got to enjoy the kids play area with no interruption for awhile.

Stuffed raccoon was a little creepy but Hudson liked it.

Watching the meerkats with Grandma. "Grandma" has been a hard word for him to say so sometimes he calls her "mom" because I think he hears me call her that but recently he started calling her "maw maw." It is pretty cute.

This is the first time since he was about 5 months old that I have been successful in getting him to wear sunglasses in the sun.  Of course the ones that I brought with us were too big but he kept them on for most of the time we were in the sun!

38 weeks!  This is about how far I made it last time with Hudson.  Although my body is killing me, I am hoping he waits another few weeks to make his arrival.

I thought a picture in front of the ears was appropriate for me.  :)

Hudson's first attempt to hit his baby brother with a stick. :)  At least it was a little one.

Hudson watching the Big Dinosaur.

Saying hey to the monkeys

He still loves playing the guitar and now usually tries to sing a song while he is playing.  It usually ends up being parts of all the different songs that he knows together.

This is a random one of Hudson before bed one night.  He is usually pretty hyper when he is actually tired so calming down for bed is sometimes tough for him.  He still loves the Zac Brown Band :) and anything with banjo type music.

Last Days

I decided that I wanted to try to spend a little time with Hudson before his little brother gets here so Friday was my last day of work before starting maternity leave and Hudson's last day in his daycare classroom.  We were really sad to say goodbye to his teacher's and friends but I am excited about getting to see him more.  Who knows how this will go when there are two boys under two to take care of.  I warned them that I might be calling to drop him off there again! :)  Hudson loves his friends and teachers at daycare and it is amazing how much he has learned there.  He can count to 10 in English and Spanish, knows all of his colors, knows his ABCs and even tries to do some of the letters in sign language, He eats like a big boy at a table, takes a nap on a mat, washes his hands, knows lots of fun songs, talks constantly, and my favorite:  loves to clean up "meen up" and wipe tables thanks to Ms. Latoya.  Here are a few pictures of Hudson in his one year-old classroom.

 Hudson's favorite: Breakfast

 Circle time

Looks like the boys are making a mess.

His "Ria".  She has been one of his teachers since his first week at school when he was 7 months old.  He loves her so much!

Sweet!  They said that she gave him a big kiss on the lips when she left. ;)

 He loves the ladies. :)

 Lunch time

 Nap time!
His special cupcake snack.  They said he devoured it.  I am not surprised.

It looks like he may have also eaten some of the paper towel :)

 Loving on his Ms. Latoya.
Reading the big book with Ms. Toya

All of his friends made a card for him with their handprints.

Ms. Maria took a nap with him on his last day. :)

Can't believe he was this little when he started there!  Time flies.  Excited to be home for a while and spend a little more time with my boys.  They grow up too fast!
