First Halloween

The weather was rainy, yucky and cold this Halloween so Hudson didn't get to go Trick or Treating in his Shark costume.  Instead we just dressed up and went pretend Trick or Treating inside with his favorite treat..Mum Mums. :)
Uncle Ron came to visit this weekend!

Trying to entertain him while taking his 10 month pictures...more of those to come later.  No candy corn for him yet but thanks to Zach and Uncle Ron, he did get to try cotton candy over the weekend.  He loved it.

 "DaDum....Da Dum.....DaDum

 Scary Shark right?

 Very well fed shark ;)

Halloween morning playing in his car before daycare.

Hudson and his Mr Potato Head Cowboy Pumpkin.  Thanks Nana!

Halloween dinner.   He was a little hesitant to eat a few things tonight because he fell at daycare and cut his gums and lip. :(  He was trying to stand up and lost his balance.  I am trying my best to get used to the bumps and falls that are inevitable when they are learning to stand on their own.

 Watching Halloween Mickey episode

 Hudson's loot...Mum Mums

"Are you sure it is empty?"

His favorite part was the stem... go figure.  Kind of like how he goes for the remote control in a room filled with cool toys.

 A view of his fin

Shark attack on the pumpkin :)

He looks so big standing up.

Halloween PJs that glow in the dark!

4 Stars For The Nuk Sippy cup!

Look who finally took a few sips (of water) from a sippy cup.  He is not really a fan and I think he was really trying to chew on it and accidentally got a few sips.  But at least he held it for a few minutes before he yelled an threw it on the ground. :)

 Sporting Aunt Bec Bec's headband

It is hard to see but we really just wanted to see what he would look like with a bobby pin in his hair ;)  This is what happens when Zach has to work during dinner and Rebecca and I get to take Hudson out alone!

Where It All Began...

We spent a beautiful fall Saturday strolling down memory lane on the UNC campus.  Even though Zach spent two years in business school after we graduated I think this was the first time that we had both been back on campus just walking around and strolling down Franklin St together since we were in undergrad (where we met).  What a different feeling to be pushing a stroller around with our 9 month old!  We both sounded like a typical Mom and Dad pointing out the buildings to Hudson where we took different classes and remembering funny things about different places as we walked by.  There are some new buildings and we are a little bit older but UNC is just as beautiful as it has always been and it is nice to know that Carolina and Chapel Hill still feels like home after being gone for so long.

Sup?

This is the beginning of one of his grunting/screaming fits because he is out of the food that he was enjoying and is trying to make me understand what he wants next.  If I bring the wrong thing to the high chair he lets me know it by increasing the volume of his scream and the redness of his face.  Oh, like father, like son.

A few with the headband while Dad wasn't watching.

Walking on Campus

I think he thinks he drives the stroller now.  He won't sit back and just wants to hold onto the tray like he needs to do that to make it keep going.

Bell Tower

He has started taking steps if we hold his hands!  Sweet Belly.

Acorns kept falling on his head.  He was a little confused.

The hat accentuates the roundness of his face.  Love it.

hehe

His laugh just keeps getting better and better.

The Old Well.  We had to make this fast because we had battle the numerous wedding parties trying to take pictures at the Old Well on this beautiful day.

Tried to get some pics of all of the huge old trees on campus.  They are so big I couldn't get a good one with the lens I had but you get the picture.

Silent Sam

And you know there has to be an "Occupy Chapel Hill"

Hudson had his first trip to Cosmic Cantina!  During our walk down Franklin St. we walked by University Methodist Church and wondered why there was a crowd, police officers, and paparazzi surrounding a wedding.  Turns out that John Edward's daughter was getting married and of course crazy people waited out there all morning to see who they could see.
