10 weeks old

Hudson got two more shots this week at the Pediatrician which again seemed to be harder on me than him.  He screamed for a few minutes then ate and went to sleep.  He even slept through meeting his new girlfriend Harper that was born Friday morning.  Congratulations to Lindsey and Johnny!  This was the first newborn that I have seen since Hudson was born and it was crazy how tiny she looked.  I can't believe how much has changed in 10 weeks.  He had gained another pound in one week when he was weighed at the Ped office.  He is now 12lbs 8 ounces!  We have decided to start him on Zantac to see if this will help his Reflux.  I just hate to see him in so much pain when that acid comes up in his throat.

Hudson got to meet lots of new family members this weekend including his 2nd Cousin Destiny.  Destiny is 3 months older than Hudson and is as cute as can be.  We tried to get a few pictures of them together.  Hudson was a little grumpy from his shots the day before so it was hard to find a happy quiet time for both.

Chilling with Dad

 10 weeks old!

Destiny

Cousins!

Destiny says, "Its OK Hudson, We no choice but to pose now but just wait until we can walk!"

Napping on Grandma

This is my cousin Nathan on the right (Destiny's daddy) and me when we were babies.  We were about 2 months apart but actually had the same due date.  Thought this would be cute to compare with Hudson and Destiny's pictures.  I think she looks a lot like her daddy!

Here we are a little older

This is me at two months old on a very awesome 70s couch.  :)  Can't tell who Hudson looks like yet....

Colic, Reflux, and Gas, Oh My!

Now I know I usually try to only post happy pictures of my baby on here for everyone to see but recently this poor little guy seems to be having trouble with refux and gas and hasn't been the happiest baby.  I will just call it colic for now because I can't seem to make it better and lets just hope that all the books are right and that it usually gets better by 10-12 weeks.  When he smiles it makes up for all of the crying so here are cute pics I got while trying to catch his smile on camera.

I think he is going to have a dimple like mommy

Aunt Bec Bec, Scott, and Kate were sweet enough to watch Hudson while Zach and I got a much needed massage. Then we watched UNC beat Duke..Yay!!!  He was having such a good time that we decided to sleep over.

This is what Hudson thinks of Duke

We had to arrange a Bed for Hudson since we didn't realize we were going to stay over.  He loved sleeping near his mommy and slept for 5 hours straight! (This is a LONG time for him)

Grandma and Hudson

Speaking of gas problems... I can't believe something so loud can come out of such a little body. Hudson was giving us lots of noises to laugh at which explains mom's face in the following pictures.

9 weeks old

Hudson is 9 weeks old!  He continues to grow like a weed and at the rate he is eating I can't imagine it slowing down anytime soon.  He went to his two month check-up on Tuesday and he was 11lbs 4oz and 23 inches long.  The pediatrician was pretty impressed that he had moved from the 15th percentile to the 50th percentile in weight.  Overall it was a good visit.  Hudson seems to have reflux but we are going to try to hold off on the reflux meds because the pediatrician says he should grow out of it soon.  Because he has been so sick with the RSV we just did one oral vaccine at that visit and will be going back next week for two more shots :(  I dread it.

Hudson's Uncle Ron came to visit from D.C. this week.  We now call him the "Baby Whisperer" because I think Hudson had a record "happy time" while sitting on his lap.  It might have been beginner's luck though!  It was a short visit but he will be back soon!

This week we are working on getting some more tummy time (which he hates) and work on taking a few naps (alone) during the day.  He really likes to sleep on mommy and although I LOVE to snuggle,  mommy really needs him to nap in his crib. :)  Unfortunately I think that sleeping through the night isn't happing anytime soon because Hudson just likes to eat way too much to sleep through a meal time.

I love the shirt but Hudson doesn't seem so sure about it ;)

Quality time with Uncle Ron

Caught another end of a smile

Burp time with Grandma.  He makes the funniest faces when he needs to burp.

He is tolerating laying on his back now so I am hoping he will learn to love tummy time too!

Two months old

Hudson turned two months old today!  We tried all our tricks to make him smile for his two month pictures but he just stared at us like we were crazy or smiled when I turned the camera off.  So here are way too many pictures of the cutest two month old I know :

Not quite ready to hold up two fingers but we tried.

My attempts to make him smile

It was a bright sunny day and 75 degrees!  I think we need some baby sunglasses.

Trying again for the "2"

Second ride in his stroller

Lazy Sunday morning

"What are you looking at monkey?"

Testing out the new ride

Maybe one day I will use this for its intended purpose of jogging.... :)

First walk as a family (minus the dogs)
